Holy Week

The Sacred Triduum has three principle liturgies to commemorate Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection.  Together they form one unified celebration and, if possible, it is good to come to all.

Palm Sunday Sunday, 9th April

Sunday Masses: 7pm (Saturday), 8.30am, 10.00am, 11.30am & 6pm;
4.30pm (Latin American)
1.30pm & 7.30pm (Polish)

Palms will be blessed at the beginning of each Mass.

There will be an ecumenical blessing of palms followed by a procession before the 10am Mass. Please assemble at Sainsbury’s up the hill at 9:30am.


Monday, 10th April

Holy Thursday, Thursday, 13th April

No 10am Mass or 6:30pm Mass
7.00-7.45pm    English Confessions
8.00pm    Mass of the Lord’s Supper
(for all language groups in the parish)

From the end of mass until midnight there will be the traditional watching before the Blessed Sacrament. Please spend at least a few minutes after mass praying silently at the altar of repose. Whenever  you leave the church, please do so in SILENCE.


Good Friday, Friday, 14th April
Services below are the only ones today

8.45am   Tenebrae (a short liturgy of sung psalms)
9.15am   Walk of Witness
From St. Ignatius to Tottenham Baptist Church. Please join us as we walk with other Christians carrying a cross, as a witness to our faith.

11.00-12.00noon    English Confessions

Holy Saturday, Saturday, 15th April
No morning Mass and no English confessions today

11am-4pm Polish Blessing of Food (Please note that the Church doors close at 3.45pm)

8.00pm      Easter Vigil in English
11.45pm    Easter Vigil in Polish


Easter Day, Sunday 16th April

Masses:

8.30am, 10.00am, 11.30am
1.30pm (Polish)
4.30pm (Latin American)

There are no evening
masses today


Easter Week
Easter Monday Masses are at 10am in English and 12 noon in Polish. There is no evening Mass. For the rest of the week, there will be a morning Mass at 10.00am and an evening Communion Service at 6.30pm  (as the parish clergy will be away at a Province Meeting from Tuesday to Friday)
